Be Extra Careful With Your Saltillo

So many people watch a video on the internet or read an article about Saltillo refinishing. It's amazing how many people are restoration experts after five minutes. The reality is Saltillo restoration or refinishing is hard work. It takes years of training and a specially-trained eye to figure out the best approach to refinishing. And no two Saltillo jobs are the same. Think about it, many Saltillo floors have been down 25, 30, or even 40+ years. Only God knows what all has been put on them, how many times they have been stripped, and by what method, etc. Are we dealing with a water-based material, a solvent-based material, etc.?
